I'm 13, I meet new people on new sites almost everyday. Why do I use facebook? 1st reason: A site I used to be on shut down and 4 of my best friends (who i don't actually know in real life) were on it, how else do I communicate with them? Add them on facebook! But why do I use facebook? It's not because I'm "insecure" it's because I'm homeschooled and have no other way to contact my old friends from my old school, old memberships from places, and when the site all your online friends are on shut down, what would you do? I spend most of my life at home because of homeschooling, but I'm not on the computer until around 8PM. However, I do use facebook mobile. And what's really a better way to talk to friends when you can't sleep at 12AM and can't call their house? Now why does everyone post what their doing, you ask? That's bassically what facebook is for. It's like a bigger more addicting version of Twitter. Now I don't see many post that their eating or anything but if one of your friends are on their way to a football game and you wanted to go, wouldn't you enjoy them posting "heading to the (town name) football game!"? pluse what's a better way to waste spare time when you can't come up with anything to do but sit in a chair or lay on a couch?
