How do i get a lot of followers on Instagram and twitter?

Well for starters, just be you. Don't expect people to follow you if you aren't true to yourself. Now that we got the obvious problem outta the way let's get to the knitty gritty...
Instagram:
1.) #Hashtags. Hashtags is the most common and only way to discover new people on instagram (unless you go to explore, or just randomly type someone's name in the search bar) So when posting photos on your account use hashtags, but don't use hashtags such as #like4like, #l4l, #c4c, #s4s or anything that can make you seem desperate for attention/followers. Use hashtags that explain the image or popular hashtags such as #instagramhub, #instagood, #instamood, and etc.

2.) Likes.If you aren't a shy person then this shouldn't be hard for you to do. Go to a hashtag such as #instagramhub and start liking other users photos. I would say give 3 likes per user. Doing this will make sure to catch the users eye & possibly getting you follow. Also you can go to a well known users profile, like Justin Bieber, Kendall Jenner, or Miley Cyrus and go to their followers. Go to the most recent followers and use the 3 likes per user method. Going to the most recent followers is a good idea because this usually means that the followers have just created an IG account and are looking for followers as well.

3.) Comment. Follow the same steps as the liking method, but this time eliminate the 3 likes per user step. When commenting on a strangers picture you should keep it simple, like "nice pic", or simply saying "nice". But if you are a shy person and don't like commenting on strangers photos, you can comment on some famous person's photos but be more outgoing with your comments for celebs/famous people. If Justin Bieber puts a picture of him shirtless, comment on that picture like he is your man & your man only. If Miley puts a picture of her half nude, comment on it like it's your job to tell her that it's too revealing. Doing this will catch fans/users eyes thus hopefully getting you more followers.

TWITTER:

1.) Follow sprees. Every so often some popular person or celeb is on twitter doing a follow spree. You just have to catch the right person. Getting a follow from a celeb is very important especially when they do a follow spree, because most times they will RT your tweet and fans will see that they follow you and eventually they'll be following you as well

2.) Communicate with fans with same idol. Since you are a fangirl you can easily gain followers by communicating with them. You all are like sisters and as sisters it should be easy for you all to connect, however there are fans who see themselves as the fan of all fans so they'll probably respond to you rudely if you reply to their status about your idol or completely ignore you
