WHY do women keep trying to add my husband as a friend on facebook? (Women who DON'T KNOW HIM...)?

Stupid question, and you may think this is petty and silly. My husband has only about 30 'facebook' friends, and isn't a big facebook follower like I am. He only goes on once a week or so... He has about 10 women from work (he works with all women and two men of 55 and 60 who don't 'do' the internet at all LOL.) and about 5 old friends, and a couple of extended family, and a few family friends.

I don't mind him having 10 women from work there, as I know them, and he has three or four of their hubby's too, along with about 5 of my penpals and half a dozen of our daughter's mates.

Well some of the women from work (about 3 or 4 actually) have 100+ 'friends' on facebook, and every single week, at least ONE of them tries to add him as a 'friend' on facebook, and they are ALWAYS a woman. Now this is gonna sound rude, so I am ready with my crash helmet, but they are ALL mingers; always 45 to 50 plus, and they ALL have just one photo, and they are often quite provocative. There have been about 10 or 12 so far in the past 2 to 3 months, and they all have just one photo, and they all have 'married' on their profile. But no pics of their hubby or kids or pets or any extended family or anything. It's very odd and rather suspicious.

Sometimes they are within a 20 mile radius, sometimes from somewhere else in the UK and sometimes they are from overseas. (A couple of his workmates are Russian and Thai and so some of their facebook friends are from overseas.)

Thing is, I have these SAME women (that my husband has on his friends list from work,) on MY facebook, as I know them too. And I am listed DIRECTLY underneath him, on these womens' facebook 'friends' lists, (because he is Carl Jones and I am Catherine Jones...) He has his profile open too, although there is nothing 'personal on there. So WHY are these women continually trying to add him? They don't know him, and they have never met him, and if they are just trying to perk up their friends list, why add him and not me?

Not jealous as we have a great marriage, but this is really puzzling and is annoying me a bit.

What are peoples' opinions? Try not to be too mean LOL. Just imagine, if you were in a relationship, and this was happening to you; women continually trying to get your husband's attention. As I said, why aren't they trying to add me, if they are only trying to 'make friends?'
Thanks Euro, but why do they not add me then? If they just want more 'friends?' Or do they want to look like they know more men? It's all most odd. He doesn't 'accept' them by the way.
