When I run Test Account Settings in Outlook 2007 I get messages that say "Log onto incoming mail server(pop3)----Failed" and "Send Test e-mail message --Failed"

Errors:

-Log onto incoming mail server(pop3):The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider(ISP).

-Send test e-mail message: None of the authentication methods supported by this client are supported by your server.

I have changed passwords with no change. I have sent help request to Yahoo customer care and got a generic e-mail back on how to reset password and other things to try. None of them made a difference. News today says Yahoo says pop mail problem is fixed. Mine is not.

My inbox on Yahoo server contains emails for two days that have not downloaded to Outlook; my mobile phone Iphone 5s has messages from yahoo mail yesterday that have not downloaded to my Outlook but a connection via the Iphone is rejected today with the message back that the device cannot connect to the server.

A very few e-mails do download to both devices but most do not. This also seems odd.

Yahoo does not give me any avenue to communicate with them. Someone please tell me what to do. Is my only choice now to wait for yahoo to fix stuff on their end and get around to me? If so, how do I know they are aware of my problems?
