Yeah, just tell him how you feel in a sweet way, like what you said just now, it was really sweet and it could get to his heart and show him you really really like him. Long distance relationships are very tough though, you guys can't meet again and again obviously so it's really hard to stay in a relationship just like that. Hopefully if you tell him you like him he'll show some feelings back and you two can get something together. I was once in a situation where I didn't want to date online with someone because I just really thought it was lame, but the girl I meant had such a great personality to me and I was with her like everyday and she started to show me signs she liked me but I just tried to ignore them. Eventually though one night she asked me if I liked her and it was obvious to me she liked me, I told her I just don't date online but we can still be friends. The next day though I couldn't stand not being in a relationship with her because she was perfect to me so I just asked her out and she said yes. So you should probably just try to do what she did, try to let him know you like him, and then just start poking around the relationship bubble with him to see if the question pops, as in try to remind him about you two as a couple time to time to see if he eventually breaks and ends up asking you because of how much he likes you. But if he doesn't like you then, sadly there'll be no chance, but things are meant to be, that's why they happen, you will find someone very great eventually.
