Why is he avoiding me?

There was a night when we were watching movie, he tried to move and sit close to me for 4-5 times although I tried to move away from him.

The next time when we hanged out again, he tried to sit next to me again while we were watching movie. Then he put his hand on my thigh for a couple of second and he took his hand off.

-Mistake number 2 , if you like this guy you could have at least shown some interest !
