Is it abnormal that my parents have done this?

I know the feeling of your family ganging up you.
This was so wrong of them to do. They had no right. It's just twitter and it's not like you've posted something awful. It can be hard standing up to your entire family, but you have got to stand your ground. You could change your account, though everything would be all over again... following people, getting them to follow you, blah blah blah.
Internet of a teen is something that parents should never follow and should never be allow to see. You need your privacy, even if they don't like it. You can't be a fly under their microscope.
