Pros and cons of Adderall?

PROS: miracle drug
- helps you focus better and longer, i.e. get through a lengthy amount of textbook reading
- makes you more motivated and efficient, i.e. write a 10 page paper in one night
- makes you more sociable and happy (release of dopamine), i.e. start and hold conversations with anyone
- suppresses appetite
- keeps you awake, helpful if you need to pull an all-nighter
- increased sex drive
- more alertness (some people take it with alcohol to keep them from being slowed down and groggy. I don't recommend this at all, too risky, easy to drink too much)

CONS: it's basically watered down speed
- easy to build tolerance (if i take Adderall--btw i dont have ADHD--i always monitor very carefully how much I take each time and how much I take per week.)
- highly addictive, i.e. horror stories in the news about kids who got addicted, couldn't get off, committed suicide
- insomnia, restless sleep
- less happy during comedown and day after (loss of dopamine)
- dry mouth (not very extreme, however)
- increased heartrate (this type of stuff just freaks me out lol)
- drier skin (can be a good thing if you're oily)
- illegal

No matter what choices you make, make sure you are well-educated and know the risks and consequences. Adderall is most commonly used as a study drug for college students and also high school students especially during exam week. It is also used recreationally, but I've only ever tried that once and didn't really think it was all that. Also, I don't recommend taking it in excess or more than you need. It's a miracle drug, but in the long run, it's bad for you if you get dependent. However, I have had no problems with it--never felt cravings or anything.
