1. She might have had an affair and the guilt is eating her up.
2. She may have started using drugs (meth or coke or pills)
3. She thinks your dad is cheating on her.
4. She's sick of you and wishes you'd get your own place or go away to college.
5. She's worried about you growing up so fast and losing your innocence.

The more she micromanages, the more you ought to just accept it and let her do it…or tell her politely and respectfully that you think she needs to lighten up and let that stick up her wazoo die a natural death.
