Based on your age (20) I think your mother is going through the hormonal mood swings of menopause. Added to an expectation that a 20year old and upper age teenagers should become more self sufficient. Dad is taking the wrong approach by distancing himself fro his wife as this is when she needs his love and support most. Same for needing love and support from her children. While Mom goes through this natural process you will have to enter a new stage in life-adulthood.
