Oh, please! Look your mother isn't acting like a literal psycho, she's just going through some emotional hardship. What you should do is sit down with her and ask her how she's feeling? Why is she doing what she is? What you can do to help? Don't just distance yourselves from her, that could make things worse.
Take it from someone who really does have a psycho mother, your mom needs you guys don't leave her out in the cold.
