Make sure you remove all your personal info, pictures, videos, apps, groups you joined, people you are fans of everything and change your name. Change your name to something like Minnie Mouse. Your account will be deactivated for 2 weeks. After 2 weeks of no activity it will be permanently deleted.

To change your name:
settingâ–ºaccount settingsâ–ºunder name click on "change"

Many people are leaving facebook. It's a shame how some people are treated. Wish things could always be peaches and cream but they are not at times. Sad Sad Sad!!!

2 â–º The old information would not be there if you get a new account

You may want to deactivate instead

To deactivate it:

settingâ–ºaccount settingsâ–ºunder deactivate account click on "deactivate"

3 â–º Your friends on Facebook will not be notified that you have deleted your account.

4 â–º No one will be notified if you reactivate your account.
