i think that sometimes we might overthink things. he may have just been angry at your guy friend and wanted to let his rage out. it is a simple thing to do to just message him. just say hi. ask questions and make a huge effort to keep the conversation going. then hang around with him at school and if you start to develop feelings talk about it with him. let him know and if he feels the same then he should tell you. just be natural and go out of your comfort zone just a little bit. still be yourself.
