How can we help the people in Iran?
"I realize now I do not fear death. I fear my daughter will not be free when I die."
These are the words posted by an Iranian man on Twitter, and I believe they sum up the events of the past few days. Freedom does not exsist in Iran right now, thanks to the Ayatollah and Ahmadinejad. The election was obviously rigged. In one part of Iran 140% of the population supposedly voted. Let's say 100 people live in that place. That means 40 people that don't exsist voted. Suuuure. Now, people are being beaten, shot at, arrested - all because they fight for freedom. Helicopters are dropping some sort of weird liquid - possibly acid or boiling water - on the protestors that is burning their skin off. I am an in America. How can I help? How can I let Ahmadinejad see that we will not stand by and watch a massacre of innocent people engaged in peaceful protest? Ads |
