i have some questions about twitter..... help please?

To answer your question:

1. A retweet is a repost of a twitter message. People do it because they think that someone's post is worthy of being shared to others. Still, you need to be careful with this feature as you don't want to annoy people with your retweet. Read my source below on when this habit becomes a 'crime' (metaphor)

2. @username means you are replying to a specific person and in your example above, someone's replying to michelle. Facebook and Twitter are different platforms so one thing doesn't work on another.

3. Following means people ( or in twitter lingo, tweeple ) you follow on Twitter. You simply click on a user's twitter page and click on the follow button to put him/her in your following list. Follower means people who followed you.
