My teacher asked me in the International marketing exam do you think marketing stereotype people?

i don't know about much about marketing but i work in sales/business and stereotyping people is wrong and all but i do it all the time (i can't stop it)

For ex: Every time someone of indian ethinicity comes in i think it is a lost cause (the stereotype is that they are cheap) The thing that i hate is the fact i have never encountered at my job an indian that broke this stereo type (they will always ask about the price, try to not pay the taxes, complaining its too expensive)

I don't hate indians at all and respect that they come from a different environnement in India, its just something i have observed though at my work.
