Easiest way is to choose a friend whom you can trust with you account. Ask them to change your password and not tell you the password for a period of time (1 month as your example). On the other hand if you deactivate your facebook account by going to the system settings, you can still reactivate your account at a later stage but I'm not sure whether or not some data is lost, such as messages or wall posts.
