How do you recover your Yahoo password?

I do not know my password - or rather I truly believe that I do but it no longer works - and have long ago forgotten the password for the back-up e-mail address. To further complicate matters, I don't have a cell phone (I have always used my sister's cell number for registering). I DO know any and all security questions that may have been set up.

Is there any hope for me? Please tell me what to do step by step and assume no 'computer knowledge' on my part. This is a BIG deal for me. I'd appreciate any and all constructive help.

I cannot get to a point where I am prompted to answer security questions. How might I get there? All I get is a message saying the password was sent to an e-mail addy that quite frankly I am unsure of the exact address, much less IT'S password.

This is a huge deal for me. I am assuming my account was compromised and now I am unable to use the computer. Not to play the pity card but more to explain my intense... frustration is that I am stuck inside pretty much 24/7 recovering from colon cancer. The surgeries aren't even over though the cancer is gone, praise God. So, knowing I would be stuck inside for probably the rest of this year I spent over 1,000$ on a fancy computer so that I could game on it. I know very little of technology and had a friend write up a list of components and then had iBuyPower build the machine for me. I am a brand new 'gamer' so, additionally, any resources re that you might throw my way are also welcome. I am only playing a game called World of Tanks so far, but will expand. Turn based strategy is what I think I'd like best.
