There are a few ways

They create fan page to generate traffic to their own website.

Make people to click like before they can view content on your website. When they click like, their friend will see the post and you will get more traffic

use facebook ads. It was easy to make money with facebook ads and dating site. However facebook and their user got smart, it is hard to make money like that now
