hello. i'm using the N97 32GB, not the mini. There's an option in the ovi store to list only the free apps, see if you can find it. Facebook app works fine on my device, i suspect your network operator's firewall is preventing it to connect. Try http://www.getjar.com, they're great alternative app stores. you might also consider a web search using google for 'free s60 v5 apps',and the security warning is generic, dont worry about that.
