How can I get more followers on twitter when none of my friends have twitter?

It really depends what you are looking for to use Twitter for.
Your personal friends are pretty irrelevant, because on Twitter you
want to open and maintain different accounts in regards of your interest,
so you might want to open an account about "playing chess" and you will
easily find people who are just into that. and then maybe a profile if you
looking for a job in a specific industry and Twitter could find you a place
where to work.

Unspecific profiles that just talk that you ate vanilla ice cream is pointless,
unless you are a celebrity and people are begging for such kind of information
or you want to find people who are into ice cream, then make a profile about that!
