Aw, that really sucks. Sometimes when people are lonely, they are really clingy to the friends they have and they seem to eager to be friends with other people. know what I mean? Like overly excited to hangout and what not. It can be a turn-off & kinda creepy. No offense. You seem nice, so I am guessing this is maybe why people don't talk to you much. As far as the girls making fun of you, stand up for yourself & stop sitting with them. Believe it or not, when girls gang up on a person and make fun of them, if you stand up to them one day and start ignoring them, they'll see that they don't have control and they aren't afraid. Then once you move to another table, they'll talk about you and all because they will honestly miss you or no longer have much to talk about or figure out that the only thing they had in common was that they liked to be immature and be rude to you. Just try socializing with different people and joining sports and clubs. No one should be lonely and in a school full of tons of people, I am sure someone would accept you. Your friend that is across the country may just want a break from you or be busy with other things. Who knows. Maybe she will come around. Just wait it out. But any friendship that ends, never really existed. Remember that. Good luck. I hope things get better for you.
