Regrets reporting a cyber crime?

Deviantart has a lot of great artists, but you are probably already aware that it is a magnet for trolls and censorship advocates.
That said, you should generally feel comfortable with drawing a line that you will not accept unacceptable behaviour. Threatening to 1 find out where you live via an internet connection is at the least a little creepy.
2 threatening you with violence or death is VERY ILLEGAL
If a child or teen is behaving this way on the internet, then you can bet that the parents are not making appropriate efforts to supervise their childrens internet activity. So any complications that come their way as result of this episode should be a well deserved wake up call. This may end up getting the parental units a slap on the wrist so that they pay attention to the kids issues that are behind this kind of acting out. So instead of focusing on the possible downside of wrecking his future, focus on the more likely result of preventing a crime story appearing in the newspapers on page one. Anyone acting out like this is not likely to have a future worth saving unless corrective action steers the kid into more constructive channels for his or her actions anyway.
My parents both passed in the last two years, and classes can be a lot of stress.
Take care of yourself, stick with school, enjoy your art, and let the consequences of bad behaviour from a goofball to himself and his parents be their problem not yours.
