theres no shame in waiting to come out. you could simply tell this girl that even if you are interested your just not in a place in your life where you feel safe coming out, or being in a same sex relationship. your young, and are still going to be trapped with your parents for a few more years. if you upset your mom with this now its going to make your home life a lot more complicated. im not saying you have to stay in the closet, in fact the only way to get rid of the fear is to face it and just start telling people, but theres no shame in waiting until your old enough to live on your own and choose your own supporting family of friends. Your very lucky to have the supporting friends you have now. a lot of us dont even have that when we come out. you may just want to keep this between you guys until your in a better safer position to tell others, but if you truly feel like now is the right time, just coming out can be very satisfying and empowering. i felt a lot batter about everything when i started telling people, but i was about 17 when i came out, and almost out of school already.
