What she is involved in sounds like affiliate marketing. She promotes a product (which is not hers), and, on every sale which is made through her link, she gets paid a commission (alternatively, she can get paid on a lead, or some other result).
When you do affiliate marketing, if you are a beginner, the most difficult is to drive traffic to the offer, and this sounds like where she wants you to come in. She could be wanting you to do some posting on social media and what not, and pay you at an hourly rate, or she wants to recruit you as sub-affiliate (meaning that she would refer you to the owner of the program, you would promote the program using your own affiliate link, and, on every conversion you make, you would make a commission and she would make a commission too). Affiliate marketing can be very profitable. Some people make a living off of affiliate marketing, but it can take a little while before it takes off. It's a great way to build a passive income, meaning that you don't have to exchange your time for money. Once your affiliate marketing business is off the ground, you make money in your sleep, when you are sick, while on vacation, etc. Hope this helps! Ads |
