It is not immature to refuse to participate in something that remains painful for you. Unfriend him and move on with whatever makes you happy. Your "friends" will be sure to enlighten you about anything news worthy and you need to stop dwelling on the person that you thought was real and who isn't. If someone is bold enough to ask you why you deleted him, simply say, "we are not the same people we thought we were and I really no longer care to hear about it".
