Contrary to popular belief, you CAN change your Facebook layout. It's called PageRage.

It IS free, it IS safe. No viruses or trojans in it, and it's completely legit. However, there are 3 downsides to it:

1. Only other people with PageRage installed can see your layout - people without it see a normal Facebook profile with no changes.
2. Critics say that PageRage is making Facebook more like MySpace, which is what many people tried to avoid.
3. When you install a layout, mandatory advertisements are placed on your profile. I suggest you install AdBlock Plus for Firefox to block the advertisements in this case so you don't have to deal with them: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865/
