In your opinion, do you think it's such a bad thing if you attend a symposium and then go on facebook?

There's nothing wrong with what you did. If your husband feels this way, he should ensure that nothing in his wardrobe has a visible label or slogan, pry the make/model tags off his car, bring along plain cups or bags when he visits take out restaurants to swap for the branded ones, etc.. This way he can rest assured that he is not infringing on or substituting for any company's marketing strategy. Also, he should never share his opinion or experience on any consumer goods or services. All this seems silly, no? He needs to relax. You are doing yourself and others a service by sharing a positive experience. More people should do the same instead of only sharing the bad stuff.
