She's not white. All Americans are mixed from dozens of origins. The Irish were celtic. The Germans have slav blood which is Russian which is semitic which is North-African which is half-caucasian-half black. The Southern-Europeans are mixed Moors, which are Middle Eastern. And so on. Your friend is not "pure" white if she's American.
