This sounds like a love story from a movie to me lol. Okay so my advice would be that text her, i don't think its even that weird or creep to message her since you said she gave you her phone number right? Well i've never really been on types of situation on giving advice about their crush far away from them except from my one friend who he said that he had a crush on this one girl that he wants to visit. Anyways in my opinion if you really want to visit her like you're dying to see her maybe i think you should go for it. Btw if you're going to text her say that it's you and say its been a while since you've talked to each other, that should take the awkwardness away. Good luck!
