Is it possible to put a password when logging off?

Short answer: no. You could:

1. Make sure your screen is locked when you step away. Go to Task Manager and select Lock this Computer. You need to use your password to log in again.

2. If they are nice enough, just have them use Switch Users. Go to Start and to the right of the Shut Down is a drop down menu. One of the items is Switch User. That keeps all of your stuff active while they are doing stuff and when you return you just log them off (same drop down menu) and log in again.

All of this assumes that you have a password to log on to your user name. If you don't you can go to Control Panel>Users and find your user name and create one.
