Be worried. He's either a player or has real issues. In any event, don't go down in flames with his behavior. He is clearly not interested in getting better if he's actively doing things like this and ignoring you. He called himself a nympho. He is either trying to give you an excuse to continue or he really does need help to control his behavior. You cannot fix him. He needs to want to fix himself. Go and save yourself the heartache. Trust me. Been there, done that. Still dealing with the fall out.
