YouTube? I'm new help please?

Hi there!
I own a YouTube account and produce videos with my brother. When we ffirst started out we thought the best way was to ask big channels to feature us. But as we all know, once people become ffamous they don't listen to anyone. Anyway. We had our channel for about 2 months, I had shared it among my friends and had got about 30 subs. But stayed like that for ages.
It was then that we realised that it's the content you produce that counts. Quickly we renamed our videos with apappropriate names to draw people in. It's the video title and thumbnail that gets views. Also the video itself should be straight to the point of the title. No one wants to watch a 5 minute video that only needed to be 30 seconds.
To get more likes and subs you need to make sure you are consistent with the content you produce. Your subscribers will subscribe because they want to see more of what you produc, so make sure you define your channel correctly and produce videos with a similar genre.

For video editing, there's loads if editing software out there. If your Just Starting you can use the Windows movie maker that probably came with your pc. It has limited functions but you can add music and cut bits out. Or you can go more advanced and look at things like Sony Vegas. Which is one of the best video editing software's on the market. I use that for my channel. You can get demos for most if these programmes.
There are a few ones that are free and decent but I don't remember the names off the top of my head. Making a website is pointless until you have a strong subscriber community. Although Facebook pages and Twitter accounts can help you to bring in more people by sharing your pages with your friends.

There isn't much else to it. Oh yes, you will need a decent video quality. 720p is fine as YouTub. Can't handle any thing much bigger and most people will watch in 420 or 360.

If you need more help you can email me or my brother at yourcheekypeach@gmail.com

Good luck!
