I have run my own small business for over 20 years. First as a sole proprietor, then later I incorporated, so I understand your issue. Here's my thoughts on it:
You can be a founder of a business but no longer involved in it, so I would rule that out.
I don't think you can be CEO of something if it is not incorporated. Also, you can be the CEO but not the founder.

I think "owner" is the best. When you are a small business, "owner" implies you run everything so that seems like the best fit.
