It's kind of obvious that he likes you. If you're not attracted to him though, then tip the effing bucket and stop leading him on. 'Wanting to catch up with you'? Yup, you're going to have to lay it down on him straight.
I'm joking about being that harsh. If it embarrasses you to be thought of as his girlfriend, then you should ask him if he likes you nicely, and if he says yes, tell him 'sorry, but I'm not interested in a relationship and I don't want to lead you on.' Or something like that.
If you can't tell him in person, then that's what fu*king FaceBook was made for
