It sounds like you're mad at the wrong people for the 2000s. You're also glorifying the people born in the 50s, 60s, and the 70s, while trying to turn a negative spin on the late 80s and 90s. I do agree with the positive things said about some of what you said but you're trying to turn the 50s/60s/70s into some sort of grand paradise of advancement when only half of it was. (The advancement part, not the paradise.)

Yes, I know it's a longer paragraph but that doesn't change that I think this analysis is bad. Every generation IS driven by something though.
