Why would someone repeatedly deactivate and reactivate a Facebook account.?

I had a friend from high-school who did the same thing. I was tired as hell of adding her over and over. This happened at least 3 to 4 times. Come to find out, she had an abusive and controlling husband that did not want her to have it.
I wonder if your friend is being harassed by somebody that maybe he's trying to shake off by deactivating it. Maybe he's not comfortable with having a Facebook. Maybe he has no clue how to work it. Maybe he can't decide if having one is worth it. Maybe he deactivates it out of protection, thinking if he leaves it unattended for a long time, something might happen to his profile or information. So shutting it down temporarily makes me feel better. If you want to ask him, just say something like "Hey, bud. I noticed the other day you profile keeps disappearing. I just wanted to make sure it was you doing it and not some crazy hacker." Try that. Ads |
