Looks like you are experiencing Ad Re-targeting, which is used to address the belief that 7 exposures to a brand or product may be needed to make a sale in some cases. Some people do feel like their being stalked.

Ad networks check for anonymous cookies that may have been set in your browser by merchants. Clearing all cookies can eliminate those ads along with possible shortcuts for other sites you use. Deleting the specific cookie for that product may do if you can ID it.
