I am 19, what should I know by now?

Creating a Savings account. Possibly a checking's account if you want check books and an ATM Card to have 24/hr access to a bank.

Down payments for apartments. Insurance of all kinds ( life, health , etc) . Knowing how to properly right a check. ( should have learned that in school). Basics of apartment rental. Washing your own clothes, cooking basic meals at home so you don't have to go out every night( very unhealthy) . Paying your own phone bill. Being successful at interviews so you have a job. Know how to write the proper resume and cover letter for the appropriate job.

That's all I can think of for now. Transition from school life into the "real world" can be a very challenging thing to do. Especially if you have no supporters on your side to help you figure things out. Its also important to know that if people from the "RW" know that you are this young they will play with your mind, try and con you etc.
