Why I cannot upload a photo unto my profile?

possibly a glitch. Try clearing your cache and resize your avatar to make it smaller also.
In order for your avatar to show your profile can't be hidden.

or

Click your avatar, click view profile click settings top right click profile privacy click edit your profile make your selections and save.
