Yeah, it's a stupid pointless chain letter, designed to get everybody posting the same thing on their statuses.

FB is full of this junk, and you can find info about a lot of these scams on Hoax-Slayer.

Here's their page with newly added articles, and there are a several Facebook chain hoaxes in there, including this one.
