He would appear to be anything but passive aggressive in the example you&#x27;ve given. Passive aggression is insidious, soul destroying behaviour that it is almost impossible to pinpoint. Your boyfriend simply told you he didn&#x27;t like your photo.

If what he says or the way he behaved is hurting you then you need to be a bit more assertive yourself and just tell him. He then has two choices: stop and apologise or lose you.
