How to stop caring about Facebook/Instagram likes?
Before you go and write rude comments (if you were going to) about how I'm just looking for popularity or that I have no life, listen first please.
I've been using Facebook for a while. I've had one since 4th grade (my friend made it for me, even if I didn't want one) and I'd say from 4th to 6th grade I was obsessed with it. It was honestly pathetic. I'd try to go on at every given moment. When I got to 7th grade I started to hate it, I hated that I wasted 2 of my childhood years on this website. But I seemingly couldn't just leave. More and more people I knew made accounts, so I stayed. Now in 8th grade, (but this applies to 7th grade too) I started caring WAY too much about how much likes I would get. Not only on Facebook, but Instagram as well. The problem is that I see girls my age getting 100+ likes and I'm here dwindling on 15. I need to stop caring, but how? I want to stop thinking so much about how much likes I get on whatever website it is. thanks in advance! Ads |
