How is this Coverletter for an Internship?

Hi! So first of all, I don't think you should list your skill set in the cover letter, especially since you're attaching your resume. So, maybe you should get rid of the second paragraph and start saying instead "This internship provides..." Then, expand on how you will use your knowledge. For example, if you have an enthusiasm in the arts, explain that and say how you would like to turn your enthusiasm into maybe a career. Also, "knowledge, educational background, and experience" are all almost nearly the same thing, so maybe you should pick one word, and maybe add in something else more specific, like "enthusiasm in the arts" or "marketing skills" or "proficiency in the social media." Then say how this internship will expand your research skills. What will you be doing? Pull out specific parts of the job description and expand on that...it's more specific and shows them that you've done your homework on them. That should be the end of your second paragraph.

The third paragraph should say more about how you can contribute to the museum. What do you have that you think they will value in you? Here is where you can say you're well-organized and detail-oriented and that you believe that your skills can bring a fresh and intellectual environment to the museum. But, don't say that it in a way that sounds like you don't think they are well-organized, detail oriented, etc. because that could really hurt youSmile

Finally, don't say "if you believe my qualifications are suitable" because what really matters is that you believe your qualifications are suitable and that it is your goal to show and tell them why. Just say something along the lines of "Please contact me at....I look forward to hearing from you/"

Hope this helps! Good luckSmile
