Why won't this girl respond to my Facebook messages?

There are infinite possibilities as to why she didn't read or reply to your message, so lets look at a list of the most plausible ones:

a) You might not talk to her enough in person for her to feel comfortable having a Facebook conversation. She might (rightly) fear that it will be awkward seeing you in person and not saying much by comparison to having in depth chat online.

b) She might be busy, lazy or just not interested in the conversation. Don't take this offensively. Do you always respond to texts right away? Do you always feel like furthering conversations?

c) She might care about her boyfriend (if she has one) more than you think. Some people just don't change their relationship statuses or post public displays of affection on the internet. If he is possessive or has trust issues, he probably wouldn't want her talking to another male, especially if she has any idea that you like her.

What are your options?
Well here are some reasonable ones:

a) Make plans to meet up in a social group with mutual friends. This way, you can interact in person and establish whether or not she is interested.

b) Wait and see. This does not mean Facebook stalking her or constantly checking if she has seen the message. This means going out with friends and meeting new people. You might even meet a girl who is more interested, but whatever you do, don't obsess over the other one.

c) Forget about her. This is similar to option b). Spend your time exploring, gaining life experiences and having fun rather than waiting for some girl to respond to your message. Pour your energy into your hobbies and better your skills. Exercise, read, and work on your life's direction. If she does answer, it'll just be a bonus to a situation you have turned positive and used to grow.
