Etiquette for dealing with a friend who is rude on facebook?

Ask why the comment is worded like it is. Sometimes, and I can't stress this enough, people can't find the right words to convey the proper tone or inflection they want to get across. So they just use the words they know and can come off as crass or rude. I obviously don't know if this is the case with you but the only way to straighten it out is to ask for her intention. try this: "Hey what did you mean by that? LOL" I have found that the abbreviation LOL (Laughing out Loud) saves allot of misunderstanding so does JK (Just kidding). Your friend may not be up to speed or may just be a jerk, but the only way to find out is to ask. Beware you may not like the answer and you could lose a friend, but remember if she was saying harsh, mean, callous, rude things about you, and to you, you probably didn't want her for a friend anyway. Good Luck & Hope this helps
