Politics: FCC will be visiting newsrooms to check . What about the 1st Amendment?

They claim they want more minority views presented in the news and want to see how the news choices are selected. They are even visiting newspapers which they have no authority over. Also includes television and radio programs. So is the government going to control our news also?

It's because of this don't-rock-the-boat attitude that Reporters Without Borders said the U.S. had "one of the most significant declines" in press freedom in the world last year, dropping 13 places to a wretched 46th in its newly released global ranking. If the FCC has its way, it can drop even further."

Most news is already left leaning. I guess they want it all or some will be losing their licenses.
