timeline:>>> timeline shows your monthly and yearly activity on facebook,and also lets you hav a profile cover for your profile

wall:>>> people can post something in your wall to let you know something ((your friends can also see the post)) or u can update your status in ur facebook wall. you can also post in other's wall !
