My boyfriend is mad at me that I won't let him look through my phone?

Being with someone who distrusts you that much is unfair to you. I have nothing incriminating on my phone either, but I wouldn't let my boyfriend look through it either because I'd be embarrassed. How would your boyfriend feel if you ruffled through all his personal life? You'll get to know each other in time and make good judgement, and he needs to understand that. If you just wanna make him feel like an ass, let him look through your phone. You have to set your boundaries though. He can't just invade your privacy because he's your boyfriend. If he knows you're not one to share everything all at once, he should respect you for it.
I hope this isn't happening to you, but sometimes people project their own guilt onto their partners for cheating. Or he's just really insecure. You can work together to help him become more confident in himself and just get a fucking hobby. A relationship consists of two individuals that work together to make each other and themselves happy. Whatever that means for you, good luck
