Look, Brittany, when I was your age, we didn't have here mobile phones and internet - long time ago and, also, the communist era.
Still, we did have postal services, so that we could write and receive letters.
I can assure you that NEVER, any of my girls, (and, for a fact, not even my parents!!!) have ever tried to read my letters to be posted, or the letters that I've received...

Now, just for your information.
In case one of my girls, or, why not, one of my friends, would have tried to do such a thing, then, in maximum ten minutes they would have been out of my home and my life!
What is private should stay private and that's it!
Now, do yourself a favour and block the keyboards of your phone with a SECRET password.
It is, I know, a little bit of inconvenience, but, in the long run, you will see that this is a wise choice.
